Well folks, the shirts for the 2009 football season are IN! Check the site early next week to purchase. Shown here in order from left to right are TCU, ALABAMA and LSU. Radio personality and Mr. Hawaii (in my book at least) sporting a Hawaiiabera while tickling the ivories at the most recent Hawaii Music Awards. If you aren't familiar with AlohaJoe, you need to be. Inventor of the Hawaiian shirt passes away.

You'd be forgiven for never hearing of designer Alfred Shaheen.

Yet he inspired one of the most colourful, amusing and unforgettable styles of fashion ever known - the Hawaiian shirt.

Sadly the pioneering textile manufacturer has died at age 86, his family have confirmed. The complete article can be read HERE

Straight from Maui

Another intrepid UT fan in beautiful Maui for the Maui Invitational NCAA men's Basketball Tournament throwing up the Hook 'Em horns with Aloha St. Nick by his side. Check out the UT logo on the custom surfboard that Santa is sporting. Shakel Bra!

This just in from a recent fan of the University of Texas licensed Hawaiiabera. Thank you Glen for this great shot overlooking the point at which the infamous "Battle of Nu'uanu Pali" took place.

The Coveted "Best Booth" award

Here is a picture of the award that the folks who run SurfExpo sent the El Grande Kahuna just a couple of weeks ago. Pretty cool! Needless to say, I was very excited when they came by the booth to let me know of my recent accomplishment. I worked really, really hard on getting this booth just right. The vibe of the Hawaiiabera booth definitely must lend itself well to the Hawaiiabera brand. Aloha Mi Amigos.
